Thousands of home webcams hacked

There is a “hacker” in Russia that has gained access to thousands of webcams in the US. We will use the term hacker loosely here, he was able to access the home webcams through the default password on the cameras. In other words when the home owner setup the new camera they never bothered to change the original password that came with the camera. So now some guy in Russia is watching everything they do at home. Nice!

Always change the default passwords on any devices you add to your network, especially cameras and routers.
