The Royal Bank of Canada is testing a biometric wristband that uses the cardiac rhythm of the wearer to authenticate the user’s identity. Using the wristband in conjunction with wireless technology the bank’s customers are able to authenticate their purchases and banking transactions. This is a fantastic idea which would be easier for the user to use and more secure than a PIN or password.
