HDMI 2.0

Thinking about upgrading to a 4K TV? Good news, HDMI Licensing is officially announcing HDMI 2.0.  It adds some serous  bandwidth to the connection standard. With a bandwidth capacity of up to 18Gbps, that is  enough bandwidth to carry 3,840 x 2,160 resolution video at up to 60fps! It also has support for up to 32 audio channels, (What am I going to do with 32 channel of audio 6 seems like enough)” dynamic auto lipsync.” The physical connector itself is the same. This new standard will roll out to computers as well, most hardware manufacturers have been planning for the new standard. If your computer is HDMI 2.0 ready you will likely need to update the driver to get the full functionality of HDMI 2.0.
