3D Printers

I have been fascinated with 3D printers for the past few years. The ability to create something in 3 dimensions at your office without being a sculptor is amazing. It is an emerging technology that will become more prevalent as the price on the hardware and materials continue to drop. Windows 8 has built in support for 3d Printers, Microsoft has recognized that this will be an important new piece of hardware for computers as well.

I wanted to use this blog  post to describe  how the 3D printer works, while I was researching I came across this great article on Mashable by Matt Petronzio…give it a read he does a great job describing the process.

One of the first things I would make is a custom cord router for all the cables attached to my computer. What would you create?
